Bolton Abbey and the Stridd ******* website

The Strid

The Stridd is dangerous for kids and animals – or adults for that matter.

Ignore signs at your peril.

Even so Bolton Abbey and the Stridd woods are beautiful, and well worth a visit.

Mam tor ******* website

In Derbyshire near Castleton, in the peak district.

Lots of interesting things to do here, with caves castles lead mines  etc, to explore.

Good food in Castleton pubs will be added to my good food link later.

Pendle hill ******* website

Near Clitheroe, Lancashire.

A place of history, and mystery. Climb the heights of Pendle hill for the best views in Lancashire.

A superb area for walkers, with some good eating houses around the area, (see my favourites in places to eat). Look out for the witches, find the treacle mines. look at this website.

If you have enjoyed these places, please leave a comment in my homepage guestbook. many thanks, peter.
